Fujifilm Image Intelligence™ is an integrated system of digital image-processing software technologies that draws on the huge image database Fujifilm has built up over many years to optimize the quality of images.

These technologies, unique to Fujifilm, are at the leading edge of innovation in the field of consumer imaging as well as in such fields as medical imaging and graphic arts. Image Intelligence enhances the performance of the Fujifilm Frontier digital lab system in several ways, including:

• Scene Classification. Precise, software-based image recognition and classification algorithms allow for the optimization of images, regardless of subject matter, including human characters, daytime landscapes, evening landscapes and nightscapes, as well as high- contrast photos when the object is exposed by flash.

a. High-contrast photo correction

When an overly intense flash leaves the subject too bright and the background too dark, both the subject and the background are adjusted to achieve smoother gradations and more vivid, natural-looking colours.

b. Photo sharpness adjustment

This technique improves the edge definition of objects, shadows and colours, to give your photos a crisp, clear appearance.

c. Over and under-exposure correction

By adjusting their density and contrast, these photos are made to look both vivid and sharp.

FOTO.com has chosen the industry leading Fuji Frontier minilabs for their unmatched printing quality.

Weekly : "Control Strip" tests are carried out on each minilab in partnership with Kodak.
These tests allow us to optimise the calibration of the machines.

Daily : 4 "Up Keep" tests are performed on each minilab at regular intervals :
These tests allow us to ensure that the calibration remains within range at all times of day and night and, for all orders.

The weekly maintenance involves changing all filters (for chemical circulation, chemical regeneration, and airways) and the deep cleaning of the racks (for paper movement) to avoid “sticky” chemistry damaging the prints as they go through. We ensure attention to detail by using a toothbrush so we can be assured this work is perfectly done.

The packaging has been specially designed and fine-tuned to preserve the content (photos) while minimising its weight so as to decrease energy costs and transport charges.
